Come Party at Westmoreland!
Westmoreland Sanctuary offers a thrilling birthday party for the child who loves nature! All parties take place in our Nature Center and our beautiful 669-acre preserve.
A standard party is 2 hours and includes a one-hour program by one of our experienced educators as well as time for your guests to enjoy our exhibits and property. Additional programs can be added to your time for an additional fee.
Birthday parties are offered for children ages 5 or older.
Activities Offered
These age ranges are suggestions. Please call for information about the activities.
- Animal Kingdom (meet our animals, including rabbits, turtles, birds, toads, and more, and learn about their ecology and adaptations)
- Frog Frenzy (learn about pond life and catch frogs, tadpoles, etc.)
- Nature Adventure (explore our woods, streams, and ponds)
- Tracking (hike looking for animal tracks and making plaster animal tracks– additional $2.00 per child)
- Survive the Wild (learn how to survive the wild by selecting an activity from the following: fire building, outdoor cooking, shelter building, and knot tying)
- Frog Frenzy (learn about pond life and catch frogs, tadpoles, etc.)
- Nature Adventure (explore our woods, streams, and ponds)
- Orienteering Challenge (learn how to use a map & compass and then test your mettle on our orienteering courses)
- Survive the Wild (learn how to survive the wild by selecting an activity from the following: fire building, outdoor cooking, shelter building, and knot tying)

No, helium balloons are not permitted. We have indoor ceiling fans and balloons can get caught in them.
No, Westmoreland does provide food or decorations. We do, however, provide tables and seating.
The maximum number of attendees is 25. Parents do not count as attendees.
Yes, Fox Members ($85 membership) and above receive a 40% discount on birthday parties.
Yes, you can request a custom program, but some of these programs may include additional material fees.
All birthday parties must be reserved 2 weeks or more in advance.
No, it does not. You may have an hour before the party begins for setup.
Booking
All Fox Members ($85 membership) and above receive a 40% discount on birthday parties.
Members: $15.00 per attendee ($200.00 minimum)
Nonmembers: $25.00 per attendee ($350.00 minimum)
Additional Program: $75.00

All birthday party reservations require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit. This goes towards the total cost of the program and is returned for weather-related cancellations. Deposits may be paid via snail mail within 2 weeks of making your reservation or via PayPal below (this does not require a PayPal account).
